International Conference on Sustainable Hydropower in the Western Balkans 7-8 October 2009 Dubrovnik, Croatia

The main objective of the Conference is to contribute to the on-going dialogue and to promote knowledge sharing about hydropower infrastructure development and operation in the Western Balkans and more particularly to elaborate on the key question of how to enhance sustainability of hydropower schemes through the adoption of environmental standards, including the environmental flows concept.

The Conference is organised by the World Wide Fund with the support and contribution of the World Bank, Global Water Partnership - Mediterranean and the International Hydropower Association.
